“Delivering the enabling works to support Sydney’s motor infrastructure”
The project involved the enabling works to prepare for the Sydney Light Rail corridor and works. Diversi were engaged on two (2) enabling projects.
The enabling works for the Sydney Light Rail project included reconstruction of Tramway Oval sports field and bus interchange as well as, Moore Park Tennis Centre carpark and amenities building.
Diversi were engaged to undertake all engineering design works including civil, structural, hydraulic and electrical services. The civil services included design of earthworks, new irrigation, subsoil drainage, surface stormwater drainage, pits/pipes, kerb and gutter, fences, pavement and modifications to sports field lighting. Other services included design of retaining walls as well as structural, hydraulic and electrical design for the amenities building.
Key challenges included coordination of work around major services, construction of a building over / alongside a heritage stormwater culvert as well as preservation of heritage fig trees.
