The Ridgeway is a premier residential subdivision located 36km South of Sydney CBD in the Sutherland Shire.
Diversi was engaged to undertake the detailed design of the subdivision consisting of 133 large residential lots, two detention basins and associated roads, civil, stormwater and water quality infrastructure.
Multiple challenges were encountered and overcome to deliver a premium product with minimal impact on existing flora and fauna including:
1. Bulk earthworks of up to 69,667m3
2. There was a 3.2kms of new roads including new roundabout
3. New signalised intersection and divided carriageway/ roadworks for New Illawarra road
4. New access road and roundabout to Barden Sports facility
5. Retention of existing protected trees
6. Two new detention basin and water quality basins
7. Modify and relocate a trunk water main for the nearby water reservoir
8. New potable water mains and pumps station
9. Electrical reticulation and street lighting
10. New sewer mains and leadin mains
11. Telecommunications reticulation
12. A new community park and BBQ facilities
13. Managed conservation zone for adjacent bushland
14. Emergency access roads, paths and routes for bush fire evacuation
15. Acoustic walls and retaining walls
